A Staffordshire Blue-Transfer Decorated Earthenware Pitcher and Basin: Rebecca at the Well, First Half 19th Century. James and Ralph Clews, Cobridge, England. The basin with an impressed Clews mark to the underside.
Dimensions: Height of pitcher 10 3/4in; length across handle 9 1/2in; Height of basin 4in; Diameter 12in.
Provenance: Purchased with William R. & Teresa F. Kurau Historical Staffordshire, Lampeter, Pennsylvania.
Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.
Condition
Condition: Not examined under UV light. General marks and wear. Typical imperfections in glaze and transfer decoration, otherwise in generally good condition.
